ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Apeksha Rao is a homeopath by profession and a writer by passion. A polyglot, fluent in six languages by the age of five, she fell in love with words very early in life. She wrote her first story at the age of seven and her stories and plays won many accolades in school and colleges. She has been lauded for her taut and gripping stories that always come with a twist at the end. She is a keen observer of human nature, something that is reflected in her stories.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Along Came A spyder is an end to end thriller. The story is about sharp, vivacious, audacious and  super keen teenager Samira who dreams to be a espionage as it is in her blood, both her parents Alka and Ranjit Joshi are elite intelligence agents working for RAW. But unfortunately her parents were against her aspiration for becoming a spy, reason which is quite deep rooted. The story is about Samira's  non-stop adventure into the world of spying and how she prove herself to her parents and fight with her inner fear. This can't put it down mystery thriller is packed with secrets, emotions and unexpected twists. The development of characters and relationships is a strength. Readers can empathise with Samira's struggle and her deep desire. All other characters in the story as they appear are well placed and fit wonderfully well in the story, nothing looks out of place.

PLOT

Young Samira who is the protagonist of the story lives with her grandmother as both her parents are always on run being an elite intelligence RAW agent. As a kid where most of the children have carefree lives ,she was taught to solve anagrams, numeric codes and given Krav Mega training. But due to some incident happened in past her parent suddenly wants her to have a normal life. But she knows how to find her way, she manages to get into an elite gang of teenage spices as that was her dream but she did this against her parent's wishes. The book is about how she manages to prove her parents and accepted as one of the most pre-eminent spices. She has overcome her weakness by capitalizing on her strengths and that is definitely one of the prime take away from this book. Author has depicted very well crafted story, revolves around the city of Mumbai and the crime, city has witnessed.

MY TAKE

Along Came a Spyder is a book you just can't put down. The suspense and thrill is highly intense which managed to grab my attention until the final page. This book kept me up past my bedtime as I was trying to finish one chapter after another. Apeksha would have done exhaustive research as it is not easy for anyone who is not part of such a profession to be writing in such a detailed manner with so much of precision. Highly recommended for all those who love curiosity, thrill, excitement and punch of humour. This book offers a thrilling ride with surprise plot twists.
